I love to travel. Switching cities, or climates (if I get lucky enough) helps me recharge. Travel pours inspiration and motivation in my life. Exploring new things and meeting new people put things into perspective, doesn’t it?
Like most of you I have certain errands to run before I can get on the plane or in the car, and leave the city. One of them is shopping….of course! That usually doubles my excitement. I always want something new for my trips. Can you relate? Once I start planning my new adventure, along with tickets and hotels I start planning my outfits as well. I create my mood board (it can be tangible, on Pinterest, or just an album on your phone, I usually go with the last one). I swear, this helps me so much when I don’t know what to bring with!
This beautiful multicolor faux fur coat that I got at Zara was part of the pre-trip ritual.
My trip to NYC was planned for about 2 months, but I have this little problem that people call “procrastination”, even with the shopping. I found the coat online and I knew it would love NYC, so I couldn’t help but buy it (along 2 other ones..oooopps). I was so nervous that it wouldn’t arrive on time, since I ordered it around Thanksgiving time when they have their biggest sale. Shipping around that time of the year can take foreeeeever, we all know that. But I can call myself lucky since I got it in the mail a day before my departure! What a relief! I was so happy!
I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on it, which made me even more excited to share this post here with you. Every shop I would go into (and i’m kidding you not we are talking about 15 of them) there was at least one person who would compliment on my jacket. Isn’t this when you tell yourself “I definitely made the right decision”? Well, I totally did. Some girl seriously asked me where I got it from and walked straight in the direction of the store (lol). When you love something you want to share it with others, that’s what I do with fashion: I share it here with you <3
